Director's Message

I am Margaret Smith and I have the privilege of serving as the Director of the Armada Free Public Library.  I would like to tell you a little about the library and invite you to visit the library and use the many services offered.

The Armada Free Public Library has served the residents of Armada Township since 1901, when a millage to support a library was passed by the citizens of the village and township.  A Carnegie grant of $8,000 was awarded in December of 1913 for the construction of a building.  The Carnegie library building was completed in 1915.  An addition was added in 1985.

The tradition of user friendly service has continued for over the 110 years since that first millage was passed.

If you visit the ABOUT US section of this web site you will find the many services offered by the library.

I hope this site will help you to take advantage of the many services offered by the Armada Free Public Library.
