The present funeral home on South Fulton street used to be a private residence, which was built in the early 1900s after the older home that was located there was moved south on Fulton street. It was bought in the 1940s by A. Tiffany and made into a funeral home. The Tiffanys lived across the street from their business site.
The three-story building on the corner of Burk and Main streets at one time had an undertaking establishment and coffins were sold there. Most people who died before 1940 in the Armada area, as in most rural areas, were kept at home after being "worked on" by the local undertaker.
About 40 years ago, there were two funeral homes in town, Tiffany's and Van Norstand's, located on West Main and Tietz streets.
